FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Scroll through to see if we've already answered your burning questions.
Do I need to speak to anyone before I come?
Nope - you're more than welcome to just come along, any week you like! The first couple of visits are absolutely commitment-free.
How much does it cost?
Participation in a With One Voice choir is by modest tax-deductible donation. We have several different payment options, so you can choose the one that works best for you. As a movement of inclusive choirs, our first priority is to ensure that everyone is able to participate, regardless of how much they are able to contribute. Our suggested amounts are:
General membership - $50/month
Concession membership - $35/month
If these options don’t work for you, feel free to have a chat with us and we'll be happy to work out a suitable arrangement.
If you sign up as a member online, you will be able to set up automatic monthly contributions by card. There is also an 'Offline contributions' option if you'd like to use a different method.
Do I need to be a good singer to join?
No! What does "good" mean anyway? That's purely subjective. We focus on how we FEEL, not how we sound. Whatever you have to contribute will be appreciated. Our choirs are open to everyone, and beginner-friendly. There are no auditions and no singing experience is required.
I'm not sure I can make it every week. Can I just pay week to week?
We do ask that members contribute to the general running of the choir. Even if you can't make it, we still need to pay for the venue and conductor. We are more than happy to suspend your payments if you're going away for an extended period - this can be done through our online portal, or by getting in touch with us. Speak to your choir's coordinator if you'd like to discuss any special arrangements. We'll do our best to accommodate.
Do I need to sign up as a member before I come to choir?
The first couple of visits to choir are absolutely commitment-free! You're more than welcome to just come along and try it out. If you enjoy the rehearsals and would like to attend regularly, you can sign up as a member here.
