Choir is such a nourishing staple in the lives of so many, while no-one can replace you, having a replacement session keeps the momentum, connection, fun and belonging that people love so much about being in your choir.
FIND A REPLACEMENT
Put in a call to your replacement conductor – have 3 people you could call last minute. They can be external or someone in the choir. Confirm timing and venue details and any quirks about lockups and safety. Also let them know how they will be paid/ thanked.
CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE
Give your choir hero a link to resources for your replacement session which may include a singalong, dinner, tune in chat, or games night.
TAKE CARE OF THE COMMS
If you have opted to meet at a local pub or restaurant, let your choir members know that rehearsal will look a little different. This might be through your choir coordinator, an email through MembershipWorks, or a message on the group WhatsApp. And have a couple of volunteers ready to redirect members at the venue in case they didn’t receive your message.
YOU DID IT!
Relax knowing that you’ve … saved the day once again!
